Silvestica Green Forest Finland Oy has acquired 1 198 hectares of forestland from private forest owners in region of Kajaani, in eastern Finland.
Silvestica is now owner of 28 000 hectares of forests in Finland.
Silvestica Green Forest Finland AB has acquired 1 208 hectares of forest land from WWF in county of Värmland, Sweden.
This is Silvesticas first acquisition in Sweden.
The new forests will be included in a FSC- and PEFC group certification programme.

Silvestica Green Forest Finland Oy has entered into an agreement with ABO Wind Oy to establish a wind power park on Silvestica’s land south of Kajaani.
The project has recently been initiated with license applications and local consultations. If everything goes according to plan, the construction of the wind turbines can begin in 2021.
